so im just going tell y'all about the trip and mostly what Sabah is like..(i guess :/)
okay so DAY 1!!
we all woke up in 2.30a.m yes that's right. A.M as in like in the morning!! because our flight is 6a.m so we have to be at the airport like 2 hours before the flight. so we woke up so early went to my cousin's house and sat the rented bus to the airport (LCCT) yep.. Air Asia plane.. so went there in bus and 2 hour journey to LCCT. So we check in went on the plane and the whole sky was just dark like night time but the time the plane went up to the sky colours start so come out and my god it was damn beautiful. Its like sunrise up in the sky.
so we reach Sabah (unpiecefully) and their international airport (well they have only one airport not like M'sia) was kinda small. Our tour guide invited us and all of us (21 people) went on the mini bus. Yes. Mini but enough. So he took us to have breakfast at the shops around. Sabah is not as modern as Sarawak. They dont have so many shopping malls and buildings like Sarawak and definitely not as much as M'sia because they are a enviromental friendly country and yes they have tons of trees and mountains and sea than M'sia and Sarawak. The air there is just damn fresh.
So we went to have breakfast and a small shop lot row and he introduce us to the famous mee there.
woilah!!
this is Laksa (totally different from M'sia)
Tom Yam (totally different too)
Tuaran Mee (only in Sabah)
so these three foods are basicly the famous mee in Sabah and as you can see the Tuaran Mee is only avaible in Sabah. Its actually like maggi mee goreng cause its moist and flavourful but my favourite among the 3 is the tom yam. Its totally not the same as the tom yam we eat in M'sia. This one has coconut in it and the seafood is so fresh you can taste the sweetness of the prawns. Yum!! And its not sour and spicy like tom yam M'sia. So if you guys go Sabah i can say its a MUST TRY!
After breakfast we went to these places :
Menara Tun Mustapha a.k.a Yayasan Sabah Tower
its actually a tall tower last time built for something (forgotten sorry hehe) but now its used as an office building already. Next:
the small version of the floating mosque
yep thats us (cousins and I). This is the floating mosque (not the one in India) and its actually very pretty. Next :
this is just an old temple there but under renovation so nothing much actually.
so after all these places we are brought to our apartment where we are going to stay. And dinner wasnt provided so we have to went out and find our own food! hehe
so that's a day already. Wasn't much fun for a day but its okay. Sabah is really clean and fresh with all the mountains and sea. It kinda like Singapore except for the mountains and seas.
so guys wait for day 2! hehe :)
